By accessing or using Taco States of America ("TSA", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our service.

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use TSA. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

USER ACCOUNTS

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate and current information
• One account per person; no duplicate accounts
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree NOT to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews or ratings
• Create fake accounts or manipulate rankings
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or shop owners
• Post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
• Upload malicious code or attempt to breach security
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Nominate or rate national chain restaurants
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) without permission

USER CONTENT

Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for any content you submit, including reviews, ratings, photos, and nominations. You represent that you have the right to post this content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

License to TSA

By posting content on TSA, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting our service. You retain ownership of your content.

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms, but we are not obligated to monitor all user content. We may remove content without notice.

SHOP ELIGIBILITY

• Only locally-owned, independent restaurants are eligible
• National chains and franchises are not permitted
• Shops must primarily serve tacos or Mexican food
• We reserve the right to determine eligibility

SHOP OWNER CLAIMS

If you claim ownership of a shop:

• You must provide accurate verification of ownership
• You agree to respond professionally to reviews
• You may not manipulate ratings or encourage fake reviews
• We may revoke your claim if you violate these terms

RANKINGS AND POINTS

Rankings are calculated using a rolling 52-week points system based on community ratings and tournament participation. We reserve the right to adjust the algorithm, remove manipulated ratings, and take action against gaming the system.

PAYMENTS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

• All payments are processed through Stripe
• Supporter subscriptions are voluntary and can be cancelled anytime
• Donations and supporter fees are non-refundable
• Merchandise purchases are final sale unless defective
• We do not store payment information

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

TSA, our logo, and all content we create are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our branding without permission. User-generated content remains the property of users, subject to the license granted above.

DISCLAIMERS

TSA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of user reviews or ratings
• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any restaurant
• Rankings are based on community input and may not reflect your experience
• We do not verify all shop information or nominations
• Service may be interrupted or discontinued at any time

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TSA and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

TERMINATION

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION].
